Resurrection Day

This could be the first day

This could be the best day

This could be your new beginning

Today could mean everything.

We’ve fallen and we’ve stood.

We’ve done evil, we’ve done good.

We’ve crumbled under the pressure of our lives.

We’re dying every day amidst a thousand cries.

But today, is our Resurrection Day!

Don’t you see the sunlight

Peaking over the dark horizon

Leading us on to morning rising?

And the stone is rolled away!

And our hearts are born again

On Resurrection Day.

This could be the last time.

This could be the best time

Of our lives just beginning;

Our journeys full of meaning.

After running and returning,

I can feel my new heart burning,

And my feet are flying faster and faster

Back to the scene of my disaster.

For today, is our Resurrection Day!
